Nostalgia hits me hard

While reading the Globe my eye traveled to the Lifestyles section and I saw an article on model agencies.

I read it and smiled, then worried.

The owner of this agency was my partner when I lived in Providence (Rhode Island). The fact that the article didn't mention his name made my heart stop.

I told myself I had to know.

I found a new telephone number for him.

I called. His voice mail picked up. It was his voice.

At 5:30pm he returned my call.

What a joyous way to the Four of Wands.

Card of the Day: 4 of Wands

The various meanings of tarot cards can be daunting and this card, the 4 of Wands, fits into that category with an overall positive meaning but also a reminder that all is not over.

And so it begins, a new year, a new adventure, a new moment.

Yesterday I pulled out my watercolour charts, and I think in order to get back into the rhythm of painting, I will redo all the swatches in squares by colour.

One of several reasons to do this is I find this sort of activity a form of meditation and another is to reactivate my senses to the visual--something that has been limited in scope to house painting.
