Parker Duofold Centennial

I bought this pen not because I wanted it but because it was there. Now what to do with it?

M sent me his wider 18k nib to test and compare to the original 14k two toned nib that came with the pen.

I tested and retested on and off all evening yesterday until I was confused by the line variations, the colour in the pen and my reactions.

Then today, it seems that both nibs are skipping.

Card of the Day: Ten of Coins

I try to understand my own moods but occasionally they just escape description.

Today is sunny, bright, not warm but warmer than yesterday. My landlord came over to check for winterization, will replace one or perhaps three screen doors, and I got some beautiful ink in the mail.

I also received M's medium Duofold nib section to check against my fine. His is 18k, single toned, mine is 14k and two-toned. Mine is definitely more beautiful to look at--now to see how differently they write--if at all.

I also received ink from Chris and Pear Tree Pens.

Mercury Retrograde

On 24 September, Mercury, the lively and lovely small plant again goes retrograde. I checked because it seemed to be operative already. It wasn't but it appears I am going slowly through motions that should or could have been finished, done with as they say.

So with this knowledge in hand, I shall do up the bits and pieces of paid for professional writing before this 24 September event (my deadline is Monday) and move onto older issues--like selling those fountain pens I have listed and the huge list of "to dos" I made last night in the dark with this remarkable Parker Duofold.

Ross is gone and won't be lending me his Nikon D80 (he was so busy that young chap before going to college) and I am loath to borrow N&Ms Coolpix, thus, I shall persevere with what I have and move along to the next kettle of issues on my plate.

Considering I am retired from active life, I seem to be thoroughly active.
