When I entered the world of motherhood, worked at home and lived in a city that encouraged thrift, I made all sorts of things: croqueted blankets, fashioned soft flannel bedding, stitched up a man bag for the husband, boiled fruit for jam, whipped up my own mayonnaise, mended & sewed up new clothing, baked bread, prepared pate and designed doll clothes using tiny stitches with 100% cotton thread.
But I don't think I was crafty just practical. It is rare that I have a crafty idea, but for those that do, Craftbits might be a wonderful resource.
Now of course if refinishing furniture or doing easy electrical repairs is also crafty, I'll add my name to the craft(wo)men's guild.
