Thinking outside of the book

I haven't bound a book for ages but I have been ruminating for quite some time over turning an older 8-1/2" x 11" 5 page art project into book form--smaller scale and layered.

While this ruminating was taking place, I came across some of Claire van Vliet's work in the NMWA collection (not on line, but in the quarterly journal) and searched out more of Ms. Vliet's work as a reminder of how much latitude can be taken in changing the traditional form of a book to create dimension.
