While it is certain that Dutch is not an easy language to master, it is worth saving. Substituting English as the primary language at university may force the language into a smaller niche than already exists by geography and population.
The language is spoken, with various dialects in Belgium, the Netherlands and Suriname, a small population by world-wide standards, of approximately 20 million.
