The Zookeeper's Wife Visits the Apple

My dear friend BA sent me an email today and instead of emailing back I called. I had been thinking of her for weeks.

It seems my former Book Club will be reading The Zookeeper's Wife and then going to the Jewish Heritage Museum to hear Diane Ackerman speak on 10 December.

It didn't take much to convince me to rouse myself and commit to go down to the City and I assured her that I'll not have her waste the ticket.

Going will also enable me to see the Irene Nemirovsky exhibit running through March and do some mad shopping. I might even get to the Fountain Pen Hospital.

This will be my first visit "home" for nearly three years.
