The inkwell I found at the River Road Barn Sale does not seem to have a tight closure so I put some ink in it, marked the ink level and watched to see how fast it evaporated.The ink is S.J. Dupont Royal Blue and thus far I'd say the evaporation is minimal. If I dipped into this regularly over the course of several weeks, I doubt there would be much loss at all.
And the Dupont ink is a beautiful colour.
