Endowments Jeopardized: Harvard

Although it's more than 20 years ago, I remember as if it were yesterday when several of us were invited to join the Harvard flock and dine in their hallowed walls. How could I forget it was considered a big academic deal.

I also remember how difficult it was at Brown to fund raise because everyone with money thought the University had an endowment and it didn't and doesn't.

I'm not feeling smug, I swear I'm not, but having lunch catered seminars paid by Universities is a rarity.

It just is!

And having it taken away to be replaced by pizza sounds yucky, but man it still isn't coming out of faculty's purse.
