Not much of interest to me in this week's New York Times Book Reviews with the exception of this list of recommended mysteries and/or crime stories.
I haven't read a mystery since I devoured all of Archer Mayor's Vermont stories. Mayor's Joe Gunther character could have been my neighbour or one of my farmer friends, and Mayor himself lived just up the road a piece from Guilford.
Wonderful tales, and perfect Vermont!
And when I lived in Taos, it was all meat with mysteries as the Director of the Taos Library was (and is) a huge mystery book fan and the library was stocked up with nearly all the new releases, and had a gigantic collection of the old-timers.
Now it's time to catch up!
