Driving to and from Callicoon I was able to catch bits and pieces of an interview with Oliver Sacks on Explorations with Michio Kaku and hear more about his new book, "Musiciophilia."One of several remarks he made was about the possible relationship between memory and music among those with Alzheimer's and how music acts like a resonator and pacifier and thus can enhance memory (paraphrased).
A fascinating guy with fascinating concepts and probably a good read.
